Love, Music, Death, & Books

All things in life end are best ended with music.  Whether it be a movie, play, relationship, funeral, or birthday and since we are officially done with The Great Gatsby in class I thought the best way to end it was with music.

I’m going to put certain scenes of The Great Gatsby to the music of John Mayer’s (with Katy Perry) Who You Love.

The lyrics to the song will be in blue and what scene it overlays will be in purple.

What to do. . .What to do

Blog

Well, I’m back in school from Christmas break and I’m really dreading finals.  But besides that, Navy Blue Dress and I get to make loads of cookie, brownies, breads, and other things and sell.  I can’t wait for this weekend, when we plan to do most of it and then start selling.  We’ll probably eat most of them before we can even sell them, knowing us. hahahahaha.  So, we have something really fun to do to help stress during finals but it does add some since it takes time from homework and studying.  We do need to figure out what we are going to make though.  I’m really happy to get to look through all of my Pinterest recipes and figure out, together, what we will make and also relieved that we can choose them ourselves.  We may want to do too many though and might have to roll or flip for certain ones to stay or go.

Hopefully you will give us some great recipes, tips, howdy-dos, and helpful advice.

Have a fabulous day!

Getting Ahead

Hello hello hello!  My topic for today is not something that has a great connotation among students and isn’t fun to talk about but definitely needs to be prepared for; College.

I haven’t quite gotten that far in my life, but it’s just around the corner and I’m really scared and nervous but excited and happy at the same time.  My english teacher is having us write to the CSU prompt to help us with college.  I don’t particularly like the idea of writing anyways but doing it this way makes the most sense because we can ask him questions and do it and have it done before hand.  Even if we don’t go to a CSU we can use it as our personal statement and tweak it a little if you have to.

I personally have no idea, literally, what I want to be or study.  I think that’s really the part that scares me most.  But I’m hoping for the best and preparing for the worst so I’m going to do what I can so that it is less to think about when I do figure out what to do with my life.

This video I attached is really cute and helpful and that’s why I put it on here for you guys.  Even if your already in college, out of, or just starting these tips will hopefully help you and at least make you smile at the nice little video.

Enjoy guys!  I’m going to go find my way to my bed since I’m exhausted but good luck on your acceptance letters if that’s what you’re doing for college right now!  Love you tons.

The Ghosts You’re Living With Are Real

I’m here again to talk about something that happened this week in class.  My teacher wasn’t there on Thursday, but we had a article or something to read.  I was bored and dreading having to read it, but it had an interesting title : Living with Ghosts.  Yes, it is interesting how my teacher gave us this on Halloween, but more to the point.  As I was reading the story, Ig to more and more into and would anticipate what was going to be written next.  Needless to say, it was about how the people that have died, recently or long ago, are still with us every day.  And don’t go crazy thinking that I’m now going to ramble about religion, or whatever else, but I’m not.  That’s not what it was about at all.
